I read cyber law for fun now and I can't stop
cyber law · privacy
Started a cyber law class thinking it'd be dry. Turns out it's the rulebook for who's allowed to know what about you, and every app you use runs on it
Now I can't open an app without wondering where my data goes. Signed up for a coffee rewards app last week and spent ten minutes on the privacy policy. The coffee got cold
It's mostly not about hackers
Most privacy rules cover normal companies doing normal things with your info, like sharing it with "partners" they never name
The engineer in me reads a law and immediately goes "ok but how would you actually build that". Turns out that's a useful combo, because a lot of the law just assumes someone builds it right
