I built a finance app with no server on purpose

swiftlocal-firstprivacy

I wanted to track my net worth and when I could retire early. Every app I tried wanted my bank login and an account. I didn't want to hand over either

So I built PF for Mac and iPhone. The data stays on my devices, and the only thing it sends over the internet is stock price requests

What no server forces you to do

All the math lives in its own Swift package, separate from the UI, so I can test it without clicking around. Money uses exact decimals, because floating point and money do not get along

Prices come from a chain of free sources. If one fails, try the next. If they all fail, keep the last price, mark it stale, and let me type one in. The app never breaks just because the internet did

Backups are a JSON file you can AirDrop to your other device. Not fancy, but it works
